I'm a staff writer at The Athletic covering the U.S. Women's National Team and the NWSL.

For the first time since this podcast launch, we actually have a U.S. Women's National Team roster

for an upcoming game. So John D. Halloran of the Equalizer and one of my favorite people

in this world of women's soccer. I know I say that a lot about a lot of people, but John

absolutely is on this list. He joined this week to go position by position through the call-ups, talk through the

tension of trying to build an 18-player Olympic roster while also keeping an eye on the

2020-3 World Cup. Plus, we get into some NWSL talk as well. First, let's get you caught up on
