0:19.2	And we're so happy to have you join us for our February Book Month Club where we're
0:23.9	going to be discussing testimony of light. As I think most people who listen to this
0:28.8	podcast regularly know, this book is one of our all-time favorite books ever. And I love this book
0:35.2	for many reasons. But one is that it really does ask the question, what happens when we die?
0:43.1	That's an ancient question. And one that of course we truly can't answer. However, we've been given
0:49.3	glimpses of the afterlife for eons. Some of the answers come when we communicate with loved ones
0:55.8	on the other side. Some come from wisdom of the sages. Some come from our spiritual beliefs and
1:02.4	the tenets of those beliefs and our culture. So in this two-part series on this amazing book,
1:10.0	we're going to examine this question, what happens when we die, through the lens of Francis Banks,
1:16.8	a former nun, who offers us a much broader view of the afterlife, through the information that she
1:24.0	channels to her friend Ellen Greaves. So sit back and ponder the questions and the answers
1:31.4	their Francis gifts Ellen and that Ellen then records for us in this beautiful book.
1:37.3	So let me start by telling you a little bit about Francis. She was for 25 years, a sister in the
1:43.6	Angleton community of the resurrection in South Africa. So she was an Angleton nun. She taught in
1:50.6	a teachers college in Graham's town. She offered several books, including a lovely book entitled
1:57.7	Teach Them To Love, about how to educate prisoners, which I think is just a lovely shudder for
2:03.6	Mendes prison ministry. Her last book entitled Frontiers of Revelation, Expounded for Growing
2:11.5	Interest in Psychic and Mystical Phenomenon. She studied for a master's degree in psychology
2:18.0	from Rhodes University and from that and her teaching experience showed several textbooks. Her
2:24.9	keen and inquisitive mind led her to explore research and teachings from the church's fellowship
2:31.0	for Psychical and Spiritual Studies in England, which she was born and which she returned to after
