Summary

On Thursday, August 26th the Kabul airport was attacked by suicide bombers, killing more than 100 people, including 13 U.S. troops. The ongoing evacuation of U.S. citizens and allies from the newly Taliban-controlled Afghanistan has been complicated by the attack The Islamic State has claimed responsibility and the Pentagon points the finger at the ISIS-K affiliate. President Biden is pledging retaliation against the terrorists while insisting the evacuation deadline of August 31st will not be moved. Vance Serchuk -- Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Center for a New American Security -- joins us to discuss President Biden's news conference, whether the U.S. will continue to evacuate people past the August 31st deadline, the difficulty America will face in retaliating against regional terror threats without a military base in central Asia, and why the situation in Afghanistan should have been foreseen by the Biden administration. Following the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan and the resulting takeover by the Taliban, many current and former U.S. service members are asking, "What was it all for?" -- questioning if their sacrifice in America's longest war was worth it. Retired U.S Marine Corps Colonel Christian Cabaniss join us to discuss some of the mental health struggles experienced by veterans, their reaction to how the war in Afghanistan is ending and what he wants the American public to recognize about those who have served this country. Don't miss the good news with Tonya J. Powers. Plus, commentary by Dr. Robert Jeffress, Fox News contributor and pastor of the Dallas First Baptist Church. Learn more about your ad choices.
