All right. Hello, and welcome back to another episode of the Chase Thomas podcast from Still, the A for mention Chase Thomas coming to you live from Knoxville, Tennessee, Everything School, HQ.

Joining me from VOLREP.com. Ryan, Sylvia, he's here to talk all things, Tennessee, men's and ladies hoops. Ryan, good afternoon, sir. How are you? I'm doing good. We're finally kind of in the thick of basketball a little bit. Got a game under the belt for both the men's and women's program. So we're starting to get a good look at what the season's going to look like. Uh, yeah. And then, I mean, now we have the crossover season where Tennessee men Saturday in Louisville and then Saturday night, um, here back in Knoxville. Are you, are you doing double duty there on Saturday? Are you going to both or now? I'm not going to make the trip out to Louisville. I'll watch, obviously, and I'll do my stuff remotely. But I would have loved to, though. I think that would have been a fun game to go to if it wasn't a college football Saturday. But Knoxville, Tennessee, college football still reigns supreme. So got to have the priorities in order. Absolutely. Absolutely.

Well, we're going to talk.

I mean, there's a game tonight.

Lady Balls, they play here this evening.

It's UT Martin that we're not going to dive deep on just because this is going to go out after that game comes about.

But that doesn't mean there's not still a lot of Lady Falls in to talk about here before we dive into some men stuff ahead of the Louisville game.

But I wanted to start here, here, Ryan, that I kind of wanted to pick your brain on coming into the start of this program is just, it was kind of jarring to see how badly the Tennessee

Lady Falls drubbed Sanford here this week. The quote, I don't have it in front of me, but I'm sure you know it off top of your head now, what Kim Cawball said about teams playing the lady balls this year. Do you remember it was pretty succinct? What did she say about what it's going to be like for them? Was it the one where they, she says something along the lines of, we want to be a pain for people? Yes. Like we want to, we want to be that team that people hate playing type of deal. Right. And we watched it in, uh, in real time. So what were your reactions to actually seeing not a practice, not what we've heard all offseason, not what we've seen from her previous stops,

but actually seeing it on the court for the Lady Balls on this week.

Yeah, it was cool to see.

It's different than playing Carson Newman, obviously.

It's still a team that Tennessee should be every time,

but a step up from Carson Newman, and we saw it still work in that system.

It was still ugly at times, and Kim Cothwell will be the first one to say that,

that there is a lot that needs to be cleaned up.

And I think the final score is a little bit misleading there.

Tennessee beats the crap out of when it's 101 to 53, but there was a lot of sloppiness.

There was a lot of open threes for Samford

that can't find SEC play. There was some rebounding issues in some other areas that Tennessee

is going to have to clean up, but that's also what can call well laid out before the season
