For today's episode, our topic is the Ten of Swords. Ready? Let's begin.

So the Ten of Swords is another one of those cards that people never like to see in their terror reading.

You know, after all the image shows a figure lying face down with swords at his back.

It's not a pleasant image, right?

Although we focus on the right-of-weight Smith deck in this

series you know back in the day I I used to work with a tarot deck called the

Cosmic tarot. It's a gorgeous deck and it reads well and occasionally I'll pull it out and work with it.

However, the tennis swords in that deck seem to really frighten some of my clients.

One of them told me, please don't use that deck with pinhead on it. So she was referring to a character from a horror movie

called Hellraiser.

And if you look up the card, you'll see why she might have seen that version in the Ten of Swords as that character.

So needless to say, I always knew if I was seeing her that was a deck I certainly wasn't going to be working with.

And you know, it's really funny, but it's a mudra called the Nianna moodra.

Moodras are symbolic hand positions or ritual gestures.

Now in Sanskrit, the word mudra means seal.

And these hand positions are meant to help with the flow of energy

in the physical and spiritual bodies.
