Today, I'm going to go through a few easy things as you guys are getting ready for early season goose.

So we're kind of going to talk a little bit about early

season goose scouting. So when you are scouting for early season goose, and some of these are

pretty good guidelines to use even throughout the year as you scout for other things, ducks or

geese even late, you know season specs whatever it is but we're

going to really focus on early season goose since that's so um it's so upon us right so early

season goose so what you guys are going to want to be looking for number one you want to find

roost water okay so you want to find roost water. Okay. So you want to find

potentially an area where you know geese have roosted in the past or that geese would

potentially be able to roost. So you're probably going to want to have some fields that are

pretty nearby this roost source. Usually geese aren't going to fly too too far during early season necessarily.

Now, hey, look, that might be wrong in your area. I don't know. This isn't like the end all

be all is what I was trying to say there. But find a good roof spot, okay? And then in that area

within, try to be within five miles, but you want to find fields that are going to

be smaller grains right so like wheat rye oats um and for us um hay is awesome so like a hay field alfalfa

field but grass like grass is awesome right now so if you can find

a great grass field man i would start scouting that pretty hard especially if it's near a potential

roost spot so you're looking for typically a little bit larger body of water i'm not talking some

huge lake necessarily and your area may be
