Summary

This week Katie sits down with radio host, podcast host, and one of her besties, Taylor Strecker. Taylor was just visiting LA, so the two recount their recent outing to the one and only Polo Lounge and why Taylor will take a doggie bag to go no matter how nice the restaurant is. We get a deep dive into the shopping process/struggle/saga Taylor has been going through to find a dress for Stassi’s upcoming wedding. It’s been a long complicated journey and I know a lot of you can relate. How many dress options is too many dress options? Is it Katie’s fault the color palette for the dresses changed? Why is the perfect dress always so insanely expensive? One thing we do know, at the end of the day, we love a good cape. Katie asks Taylor what she’s been judging recently (other than her own spending habits in the hunt for the right wedding dress). Taylor’s rage text of the day is bound to make you smile, SO many of us have wanted to send this one. If you’re in the mood to sit down, relax, and feel like you’re just chatting away with your girls, you’re going to love this week’s episode!

1:03.4

we went. So Taylor was just in LA and we got to spend a lot of quality time together.

1:09.3

Serious QT time. Yeah, it's curious quality time. And we went to our favorite place, the

1:17.8

the Hills of Towns at the Beverly Hills hotel. But we went for the early bird special at like five

1:23.0

o'clock. So I made the reservation for us and I feel like they must have me. It's interesting

1:30.2

because it's like, of course, you can make a reservation there, but it is not, it's not easy.

1:34.7

I'll say that much like a couple years ago, it used to be like, yeah, you call like a weekend

1:39.1

of Vans you can get whatever, but like now for whatever reason, you run the risk of not being

1:44.0

able to get in. So I called like two weeks in advance. And I was like literally like from

1:50.8

Wednesday through Sunday, what do you guys have? And they were like literally nothing. And I'm

1:56.4

like, come on. So I was able to get a five 15 reservation on a Thursday. It was fucking empty

2:04.7

when we walked in by the way, though. Like what the hell? And it was empty for like a really long

2:09.6

time. Like it took like even when we left, it was still pretty empty. And that's what I was thinking,

2:16.0

right? Yeah. And it was also it was you could hear a pin drop. It was we were calling this the

2:21.1

quietest day at the polo lounge. It was it was it was actually kind of bizarre. And we were having

2:28.0

sensitive conversation, right? Yes. Yeah. And so I like that the thing with the polo
