The 2024 presidential election is heating up and Tech is looking to play an

outside role as former President Trump and Vice President Harris battle for the

White House. Tech checks Giorger Bosa has the latest on where that money's all coming from, D.

That's right.

Over the weekend, each campaign dealing with tech in very different ways, really

reinforcing just how central it is and will be in this election.

First of all we have the Trump campaign saying that it was hacked citing a Microsoft

report that in turn pointed to increased activity from Iranian groups in recent

months. Now this wasn't a particularly

sophisticated attack from what we know. It stemmed from a compromised email

account belonging to a former advisor to a US presidential campaign,

fishing that relies on someone simply clicking

something in an email and it is one of the most common forms of cyber attacks that

AI for all of its promises does not eliminate. Experts say that this could just be the start of more complex cyber operations and a throwback

to the 2016 playbook.

Remember when Russian affiliated groups use fishing attacks to gain access to emails and then leaked them to basically

stir up division influence coverage.

The second story over the weekend guys that was Kamala Harris back in San Francisco

for a fundraiser.

This was really a return to her roots.
