Welcome into Outkick the show Friday edition of the program. I hope all of you are having a fantastic early start to your weekend.

0:09.8

I want to tell you right now many of you watching. I know the PGA Championship, which is currently underway pretty wild.

0:17.7

Phil Mickelson in first place by himself as I am speaking to you right now. He shot a minus three.

0:25.1

He is minus five. This is wild. If he is able to finish off the lead today and really only Louis Ustazen is potentially capable of catching him and or passing him.

0:39.3

He would be, this is pretty wild. He would be the first golfer ever to lead a major in the 1990s, in the 2000s, in the 2010s and in the 2020s.

0:54.0

We'll see what happens on Saturday and Sunday, but already very cool for Phil Mickelson again as I am speaking to you right now.

1:03.0

A little bit after four o'clock Eastern on the East Coast Phil Mickelson right now in the clubhouse as the leader as the weekend gets closer in the PGA Championship.

1:14.2

I want to tell you as you roll into the weekend, you know what I'm doing. I'm headed to Florida tomorrow.

1:18.4

Got a little league baseball game for the six year old, 1030 in the morning. As soon as he's done with that game, we're hopping in the car and we are driving to the beach.

1:27.9

I will be down in Florida for the next two weeks. So if the show is a little bit erratic, that will probably be because I am going to be hanging out a lot by the beach, by the pool.

1:39.8

All over our place down in Florida cannot wait, but want to tell you this. I hope all of your kids are able to finish school as well.

1:52.2

My kids finish school today and I want to say thank you to Williamson County Tennessee schools. If you're familiar at all with the Nashville area about the county directly south of Davidson County, which is where Nashville is.

2:08.1

That's where I live in Williams and County. They opened up schools in August. They kept kids in school from August all the way until today.

2:19.3

They finished a full year of in person schooling. I have never been happier to live where I do. Then based on that decision, they did it safely.

2:31.2

No major issues. Our kids, I've got a kindergartner and a fourth grader made it through the entirety of the school year. No issues.

2:40.9

And I want to thank the teachers. I want to thank the administrators. I want to thank everybody in the state of Tennessee and the political realm who helped to make that happen.

2:51.0

And if your kids are still not in public school, I want you to know that your schools and your administrators and your politicians all failed you because I can speak directly to the truth.

3:05.3

3:13.7

The American Association of Pediatricians said back in June that kids needed to be in school. And I believe unfortunately the kids that most needed to be in school are the ones that were not in school.

3:26.2

And that they will be dealing with the fallout. I saw where they said like three million kids have just disappeared.

3:32.8

They stopped showing up for remote class work. I talked to back in the fall. I talked to some teachers who had AP students.

3:43.0

They were in rural school districts and their kids didn't have access to Wi-Fi. They didn't have access to reliable internet.
