So Batman and Punisher are kind of similar figures in a sense.

Batman, you know, DC is sort of, I guess, the more innocent of the two universes, right?

Batman in most of the tellings is not a killer.

That changes in the series I just referenced under Frank Miller.

But for the most part, he does not kill people.

The Punisher does.

And for that reason, I think a good place to start is the beginning of the Punisher, who was originally a villain of Spider-Man's who also does not kill.

You know, most of the heroes in the Marvel universe do not kill.

I think during, perhaps during World War II, I think that was different though like Captain America

they were fighting in a war so I think they probably did
