I want to steer away from the politics for a minute to do something entirely for my own benefit

because I talk about this with my friend or my friends ask me about this a lot but anyway here

goes I this is probably my most reactionary take. I cannot stomach anime.

To the point where I'm tempted to say like anime is bad outright which I know is not fair at all

that's like dismissing all of Hollywood or all of American animation stuff like that

but you put out a video pretty recently called

So I'm hoping you can help me and maybe help

some listeners who are in the same boat.

For pretty much all of my adult life, I've had this knee-jerk reaction of discomfort or

even sometimes revulsion when I'm presented with anime. I think you understand where I'm going.

Yeah, I think that's a normal response to anime. Yeah. I don't blame at least at least some of it.

Because to me when I hear the word anime I think of like the

sexualized five-year-olds but it's okay because she's actually a thousand-year-old

dragon yes you know like explosive nosebleeds which are clearly meant to suggest something else

that the high-pitched yelling and and the constant whimpering and stuff and I have friends who say

that that stuff isn't present in all anime, but I've yet to see one where that is the case.

So am I just way off base here, or is there something to my negative reaction to this stuff?
