From BBC Radio 5 Live, this is How Do You Cope with Ellis James and John Robbins.

Hello everyone, it's Ellis and John here and we are very excited to introduce a new podcast for the BBC.

You may have heard us sort of mention in various hushed tones a secondary podcast an exciting new project.

Well this is it and it's called

How Do You Cope with Ellis and John? And this is the teaser episode, a sort of

little introduction and audio or d'oeuv to introduce this new show. That's

right it's slightly different from our Friday afternoon show. It's a

secondary podcast but it's something very exciting that we've wanted to do for a while now.

We're going to be talking to a range of guests and we know some we don't about the challenges and

hurdles and setbacks that they might have faced in their own lives while asking the

question how do you cope? So the first week the launch episode is with Adam Kay, who you'll know because he wrote the book,

This is going to Hurt, which obviously went on to be hugely successful by his time working

in the NHS as a junior doctor.

Yes, and we wanted to speak to people who are in the public eye who are quite prominent

but may have had to go through some of the things that, you know, everyone experiences their

life from bereavement to anxiety to alcoholism to dealing with disability and that sort of thing

to perhaps give people some tips some insight and also to feel that other people are going through exactly the same sort of things that they do.

We've got more names to be announced and also an abridged version of some of these podcasts

are going to be broadcast on at 5 Live on Sundays between 9 and 10 in the evening.

That's right, the episodes will be released each week on BBC Sounds and anywhere else where you
