Summary

Kids’ recitals are the worst. Everyone agrees, and by everyone I mean Mike and myself. Mike tells us of the time he “dominated” local theatre, and the end of the year means the kids have checked out, but we check out long before them sometimes (all the time).

0:42.7	on the way to your child's recital oh it is the end of the year recital time where you pretend to
0:51.3	look enthralled at everybody else's children doing their stuff while your child gets his 15 seconds up on stage to look like a bumblebee and squash it and then sit there.
1:02.2	Wouldn't it be great if they just did like segments?
1:05.3	Right.
1:05.5	Like where, you know, your class is going to be from 230 to 245.
1:09.0	You only have to be there during that time.
1:10.8	You know what I mean? But they have like the entire school come. We're going to have the fifth
1:14.4	grade do it. And we got the second grade. And I did one. Oh, you did. Yeah, I did one last year and my son
1:22.8	wasn't really into it. And he kind of just sat there. And then this year, again, my other son's not really into it and he just sits there.
1:30.9	But the irony was not lost on me that he was sitting, he had to be in a bumblebee outfit.
