| 0:00.0 | Hi, my name is Pete Scazzara. I want to welcome you today to the emotionally healthy leader |
| 0:04.8 | podcast. Great to be with you. And our topic today is teams that embrace rhythms and limits. |
| 0:10.0 | Teams that embrace rhythms and limits, really, it could be said teams are made up of individuals |
| 0:14.9 | who embrace rhythms and limits. But as a team, hopefully you want to embrace them as well |
| 0:20.6 | because the implications |
| 0:21.4 | are so large for leadership. So last couple of weeks we talked about teams that go back to |
| 0:26.8 | go forward. And that's very critical, looking at your genogram, going back three to four generations |
| 0:31.3 | and how it's impacting your present. And today I want to really talk to you about this issue of |
| 0:35.2 | rhythms and limits. It's another one of those core essentials for teams, healthy teams. And again, it's so key because of the impact this has, not simply on your team, but on everybody you influence. Because if you have rhythms and you embrace limits, that means you have space. Space to be out of what you do. |
| 0:55.7 | You have space to actually be present with yourself, most importantly be present with God, |
| 1:01.3 | and then be present with people and not just be racing through life. |
| 1:04.4 | You've got space to listen and to hear God and to follow up on things as they occur because you're not rushing and you're |
| 1:12.7 | not trying to squeeze in 30 hours of work in 16 hours that you're awake. |
| 1:19.7 | And you're able to be prudent with your words because you've got, again, you've got space. |
| 1:24.4 | So again, let me mention two weeks ago we launched on our website |
| 1:28.6 | these three training experiences for you and your team. And there's three team building modules |
| 1:36.0 | there. We talked about Explorer at Janagram last week and this week I want to invite you to look |
| 1:41.0 | at Rediscover Sabbath and to do it as a team exercise and then is also |
| 1:44.9 | crafting a rule of life. And you'll see some handouts on there. Go to emotionally healthy.org |
| 1:49.5 | slash team. It's free. And our goal in this is to get you exposed to actually doing the material, |
| 1:56.5 | doing this paradigm of integrating theology into your leadership because we know if we get it into |
| 2:01.8 | you as goes the leader, so will go the church. So check that out at Emotionallyhealthy.org |
