If I was making a trade with the Patriots, I wouldn't want their pick this year.

I'd want their pick next year.

Because according to what you've looked at, their schedule is much tougher, the pick's going to be higher.

So it's a good point.

If the Patriots are looking to make a trade, if they are looking to use a first round pick to acquire something, next year's pick is ostensibly going to be more attractive. Right. But I mean,

usually the way it works in the league is they treat it as a round down if it's a year in the future.

In other words, a second round pick in this year's draft is worth the first round pick in next year's draft. Like that's sort of a general rule and a third round pick this year's a second, you know, vice versa is generally the way it goes. But if I were a team, I'm with the, I'd rather have the Patriots pick in 2027 versus 2026.

Would you give up either for Crosby?
