Hi everyone. Welcome to episode 60 of the Let's Talk Yoga podcast. I have one of our favorite guests back on the show today.

0:09.3

Judith Hansen Lasseter is back talking about her new book, Teaching Yoga with Intention. And if you've been a regular listener of the show, you've heard her previous two episodes already.

0:22.9

One was last year with her book Yoga Myths.

0:26.2

And a more recent one in February this year, we spoke about nonviolent communication.

0:32.5

She had authored another book with her husband and it was called What We Say Matters.

0:37.3

And we had an in-depth

0:38.8

conversation about why non-violent communication is so essential for yoga teachers. So this,

0:46.2

0:52.4

how communication is so significant to a yoga teacher.

0:56.7

She talks about verbal communication as well as non-verbal communication and adjustments.

1:01.7

And it's really, it's such a significant aspect as in communication for yoga teachers.

1:08.3

So I was really glad that she wrote this book to give us

1:11.4

clarity. She talks about the different segments of the book, including a whole section on how to

1:18.2

become an educated yoga student, the student's responsibility, the teacher's responsibility and

1:23.5

accountability, the power dynamics. We get into a conversation about everything in her new book.

1:30.7

Another milestone that Judith celebrated earlier this summer was that she completed 50 years of

1:37.5

teaching yoga. And I kickstart the interview by asking her about her insights and her journey these past 50 years, I think it is

1:46.3

of such value when a yoga teacher like me gets to have this opportunity to talk to someone

1:53.5

who has done this for so long, a lifetime almost, and to hear their insights and their lessons

1:59.6

and their learnings. So it's truly precious.

2:02.2

Judith also offers a discount code for her new book.

2:06.2

I believe it's just released.
