As we continue our practice of preaching the gospel,

if you miss the last few weeks due to camping or whatever, we would invite you to go back and listen to the

podcast as we put a lot of work into a biblical theology of the gospel

as defined not by the American Church,

God bless them slash us,

but as defined by Jesus of Nazareth

and the writers of the New Testament and the great tradition of Jesus down

through the centuries that spans continents and ethnicities and generations.

Now we're ready to shift gears from what is the gospel to

okay with a basic framework in mind how do we preach to the gospel in a city that is for the most part secular to the core

and increasingly at a mortal level at least on a different page than that of Jesus' vision of

human flourishing where a lot of people outside the

walls of the church are hostile to the idea of a gospel of Jesus, and a lot of us

inside the church are a little emotionally wrecked

by a bad experience with, quote, evangelism.
