So today I'm here with Dr. Emily King. Welcome, Emily. Thank you for having me.

So excited to be talking with you today. And why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself?

0:28.4

Okay. So I am a licensed psychologist who practices in Raleigh, North Carolina. I work predominantly with children and teens on the autism spectrum with ADHD, with anxiety,

is in school psychology. I worked in schools for about five years before moving back home to

how do you do free time with differently wired kids? This is not easy. Right. It's not easy.

1:53.6

No, it's not. So many parents we work with are savvy. They read articles. They have, I'm sure,

2:00.4

read that when summer comes, you should be

2:03.1

letting your kids go outside and play, just send them to the backyard. They'll be fine. Let them

2:08.8

get creative and solve their own problems and work out conflict on their own. And those things

2:14.5

are great for kids that have those skills.
