Her name is Bertha Vasquez. She is a middle school science teacher in Miami-Dade County public schools.

She is also the director of the Teacher Institute for Evolutionary Science, of the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason

and Science, which is a division of the Center for Inquiry.

And we are going to be talking today about the incredible work that the Teacher Institute for

Evolutionary Science, aka Ties, is doing to provide middle school teachers the tools

that they need to teach evolution and answer its critics based on new next generation

science standards. So without any further ado, here she is, Bertha Vasquez.
