Hey everyone, I'm Andrea Ferretti and this is episode 7 of Yoga Land. My guest today is Taylor Harkness and I thought he would be the perfect guest

for kicking off summer because he's so fun and warm and lovable. He happens to

also be the first millennial that I've interviewed on the

podcast and when I went back and listened to it I thought to myself if Taylor

represents the future of yoga then we're in really good hands everything's

going to be okay.

So like any incredibly able-bodied

Yogi millennial, which is what Taylor is,

he has a sizable presence on Instagram with more than 35,000 followers.

But interestingly, as his presence grew, he started to feel disenchanted.

In fact, here's an excerpt from one of his most memorable Instagram posts.

He says,

Yoga teachers are not celebrities and it seems like many of us are sucking the yoga

right out of this job.

If you're trying to get famous, you're in this for the wrong reasons.

Practice what you preach. I'm here to be a part of something. I'm here to help others move

freely and live happily. I've been at the bottom of the barrel and it almost killed me.
