In the years ahead, UNC fans will not care about how ugly the game was.

Gonzaga fans might well forget about the debacle that was the officiating in this game.

But for those of us who watched the game last night and did not have fan rooting interests on either Gonzaga or UNC side.

This was as ugly of a national title game as I can remember one that was completely taken over by the officiating the 44 fouls while even crippled both teams and led to zero offensive flow.

And I just thought it was an atrocious game to watch now on the positive we won both the UNC minus one and a half gamble that I gave you yesterday.

And we also won the under so I won you some money.

That is the best takeaway for out kick listeners.

And I think the long term impact of this game will be that it got Roy Williams to three national titles passing forever Dean Smith who finished his career with only two.

Roy Williams now at 66 years old has a chance to move on to four all time national titles a decent chance I would say which would put him in the same arena as eight all for up and tie him for third overall in the history of college basketball.

I think this was a game that made Roy Williams a coaching icon number one overall never will be touched John wooden has 10 national championships Mike Shoshewski has five now Roy Williams has tied several guys at three among them Jim Calhoun Bobby night.

And I think the likes of those individuals I think like I said there's a very good chance that Roy Williams will eventually get to four now.

But again that's for down the road for years ahead when people look back and try to categorize and establish and put into perspective what Roy Williams has done as a coach in the meantime I think a lot of you are in the same place that I was last night a lot of things to complain about there were several blown calls.

I want to hit on several of them because I think it's the number one story first of all that Collins is probably the best player can talk about on the court last night even though he's young he got his fourth foul with around 15 minutes left in the game that's just absurd.

I mean really absurd two of those calls were for illegal screens.

He felt out with five minutes left I think if he's in the game and he plays the full length of the game is a good chance can I go wins.

Several blown calls I thought at the very end of the game North Carolina was out of bounds on the jump ball there are many pictures I tweeted a picture out you can go look at it.

It's the kind of thing that inside the two minutes should have been reviewed the officials 100% blew that one that's the exact reason that they have the inside two minute player review.

I don't know how you blow that call.

Clearly it should have been Gonzaga's ball. Why does that matter? It would have been Gonzaga's ball down one with about 48 seconds to play I believe.

So that could have significantly changed the outcome of the game North Carolina scores on that shot on that possession makes it a three point game comes down blocks a shot games over.
