Welcome to this pedestrian episode of Talking Lamar. Today I'm talking about my catastrophe as

entertainment director for our company Christmas party. Let's get to it.

What are you talking about? What are you talking about? Sorry, I forgot what I was talking about.

What are you talking about? I am talking to you. That's just what I was talking about.

It's Talking Lamar.

You know, there was once a time long, long ago when companies would throw a Christmas party in the month of December.

It consisted of a lot of food and copious amounts of free alcohol, there would generally be a band or a DJ,

maybe karaoke or some other form of entertainment that mixed well with the alcohol.

And it would normally, what normally would be sane and well-mannered people would start to act like wild animals

that would do some sort of flailing around and gyrating, but never actually to the beat of the

music. And without fail, someone would make an inappropriate comment and something that they

would never dream of saying at any point on

any of the other 364 days of the year to a person that they would probably not even speak to.

And a couple of people would finally tell each other exactly what they actually thought about the

other and wind up rolling around on the floor and

slugging it out. And yet, no matter what happened at the previous party, we'd do it all again

the next year. Now, I'm not exactly sure when the Christmas party started to die out.

COVID probably dealt it a blow for sure, but I think it was beginning to slack off before

them.

Now, we had a Christmas party every year at Budweiser.

I did it in different locations.

And I truly don't remember a one of them that didn't have at least one situation that had to be dealt with like I previously explained, either that night or the next workday.
