Today I'm talking about my years of being on the CB radio

and the interesting people that you meet.

That's just what I was talking about.

It's talking Lamar.

You know, I guess back when I was probably eight or nine, my brother Troy was really into

CB radios and he had one in his car and he had a base station in our house and so he taught me how to talk on it and all the lingo and all that kind of stuff and so he wound up he joined the army and he was gone for a few years so I spent a lot of time on the CB radio and everybody

has a handle on a name that you go by on the radio, you don't use your real name and my handle was

Doodle Bug and Troy's handle was Triple R. Now neither one of these actually made any sense whatsoever. But you know you can see how I came

with old time video years later for the video store because naming things is really not my

forte okay but I was I was really deep into the

CB stuff I mean we're do that we had does anybody know what a QSL card is?

No. No.

Okay, we had QSL cards that we sent out.

QSL is an acronym that comes from the International Q code and it means I confirm receipt of your transmission.

So QSL cards were something that you could send somebody that you talked to on the radio

and they could send you one of theirs. Now the card would be the size of like a large postcard and it would have your call letters printed pretty big on the card that was the main thing and then it had your address and then you could
