We have completed our journey from Chicago to Virginia.

As I sat down to think of a bit of scary history from Old Dominion to share with you all,

I had to pause and think, the Commonwealth isn't where I'm from, so I don't really know any of its spooky history.

Sure, lots of settlers, revolutionary, and civil war type stuff, but as far as I'm from, so I don't really know any of its spooky history. Sure, lots of settlers,

revolutionary, and civil war type stuff. But as far as serial killers, cryptozoology,

demons, or just downright unsolved mysteries, I couldn't think of a single one. So I did a little digging,

and surprisingly, the mysteries aren't as forthcoming as I'd like. However, I did find

one that I did like. In 1925, a train tunnel in Richmond at Churchill collapsed, in which several

people died. During the collapse, there were people who witnessed a monstrous human form

running out of the collapsing tunnel. It was then chased to Hollywood Cemetery

where it sought refuge in a mausoleum marked W.W. Poole.

This tunnel collapse must have disturbed a vampire,

and since then, the Richmond vampire has been haunting the former capital of the Confederacy.
