For our last week, I have an incredible podcaster and producer you should get to know,

as well as a small request.

Nightlight by Tanya Ransom is a podcast I've been listening to since episode one back in 2018. It's a world fantasy and Ignite Award-winning horror fiction podcast featuring creepy

tales written by black authors from all over the world. If you prefer a long-form fiction, Tanya also writes and produces

afflicted, a horror thriller audio drama. And when your eyeballs need something to do, she's also

the author of the novella Risen. But I'm here to talk about Nightlight, Tanya's way of helping

black writers achieve opportunities

for better representation in horror. She started the podcast in response to a 2017 report

that noted that less than 3% of stories published were by black authors. The podcast has since

gone on to feature and sometimes interview some of the biggest names in horror.
