I'm Kathleen Palm.

I work behind the scenes of tales to terrify reading slush, which is pretty awesome.

I love finding stories that make me grin or wince or hopefully runaway screaming.

When I'm not reading horror or watching horror or listening to the whispering cornfields that surround my house, I write.

My short stories have appeared in the anthologies Blackberry Blood, a quaint and curious volume of Gothic tales,

and the big book of things that go bump in the night, as well as in Dark Dead Things Issue 2, and on Tales to Terrify.

My upper middle grade book, Into the Grey, published by Spooky House Press, just had its first birthday, and lurks in the shadows waiting for kids who are brave enough to face the

dark. I'm here on Tales to Terrify to celebrate women in horror, so let me wave my bloody claws

at one of my favorite women in horror, Ali Malinenko, author of Middle Grade books, Ghost Girl,

and This Appearing House. For those who don't know, middle grade books are for ages

8 to 12, though upper middle grade covers more 10 to 13 year olds. Near and dear to my blackened

heart, middle grade horror is often overlooked, but can be fun, scary, weird, and truly inspirational.

Ali Malinco's books are fun, are scary, and are exceptionally inspirational.
