Long lines, snarled traffic, the stresses of rushing to get things done before the break.

This week finds us traveling the state of South Dakota.

As we wind our way south, through the sandy dunes and wind-carved hoodoos of the badlands,

you can't help but appreciate the rugged beauty of this place.

Both harsh and picturesque in equal measure. At times,

the asphalt seems to stretch forever, weaving between mesas and swinging wide around dusty

gulches and ravines, until we finally roll into the Oglala Lakota community of Pine Ridge.
