We're releasing the episode a little early this week to commemorate the occasion.

It's that most wonderful time of year, when the ghosts and ghouls who have been hiding in our closets and under our beds get to come out from the shadows to freely roam the streets

Although if you're as far north of the equator as I am, up here in Canada,

the snow boots, big coats, and gloves can sometimes ruin the frightening effect.

Not to perpetuate a Canadian stereotype, but yes, it's another white Halloween here in Saskatoon.

Growing up, we'd occasionally get a warm Halloween where an extra sweater would do the trick.

But as a kid, watching Halloween movies where children ran amok through dry, leafstrewn streets in nothing but their actual costumes.

It seemed hard to believe, almost more fiction than reality.

But that wasn't the only thing that straddled the line between Halloween fact and Halloween fiction.

There were other tales that heavily colored the trick or treats of my youth as well.
