We're just one state over from where we started, and already the abundant treasure trove of

Like its neighbor to the east, West Virginia is well known for its rich history of hauntings

and other supernatural occurrences.

While looking into the history of West Virginia, I stumbled across

an interesting book. While it's a bit of an older read released in 1965, folklorist Ruth

Anne Music's compilation, The Tell-Tale Lelilic Bush, and other West Virginia ghost tales, is a treasure trove of bite-sized dark

legends in a fairly similar style to scary stories to tell in the dark.

There are 100 stories in this collection, from ghostly revenge to haunted places to deadly

creatures, and they do an interesting, simple job of showcasing the
