Come in from the cold and settle in.

We have two tales for you this evening.

But first, I'm sure many of you have already seen it.

But for those who haven't,

I wanted to mention the trailer for an upcoming movie called

Brightburn.

The movie's strap line sums it up as,

What if a child from another world crash landed on Earth?

But instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister.

As one of the most overpowered fictional characters of all time,

there are few characters that, if taken down a darker path,

hold as much potential to terrify as Superman.

Reimagining a version of, more or less, his origin story,

where his natural desire for goodness

is instead replaced with malevolence.

Well, let's just say it takes a turn that's decidedly in our direction.
