1:06.3	On our last searchlight program we began looking at two verses in the book of Joshua that
1:11.2	seemed to contradict each other. One verse in
1:14.1	Joshua 11 says that Joshua has conquered the entire land and had rest.
1:19.4	Another verse in chapter 13 said that there was still much land to be possessed.
1:25.6	What does this mean?
1:27.2	John explained to us that what this means is that the war was won, but there were
1:31.1	still pockets of resistance.
1:33.3	There were still places where the enemy was hidden
1:36.0	and needed to be rooted out.
1:38.1	For us, this is a picture of positional versus practical truth. We are positionally in Christ. We are on his team and made
1:46.6	completely righteous because of what Jesus did for us on the cross. Pastor John
1:51.7	used the analogy of being called to be a part of the San Francisco
1:55.5	Giants baseball team. Even if he doesn't play, he gets all the benefits and blessings
