What's going on everybody? Welcome back to the Mind Over Macros Podcast. As always, I'm

0:09.5

your host Mike Milner and today I want to talk about something that is a common mistake I see a lot of people making and this is something that I dealt with for a very long time, especially in the beginning of my fitness journey.

0:26.6

And it's really something that applies to all areas of life.

0:29.9

And I would have to say that it's probably the most common mistake or I should say it's the most common

0:39.6

dream killer if you have like a goal if you have aspirations if you're trying to

0:44.4

accomplish something within your fitness within your relationships within your

0:49.4

life within your career this one mistake this one thing I'm about to reveal is the number one

0:57.6

killer of all progress and that is making no decision in action.

1:05.0

indecisive by nature, so I would spend a lot of time, you know, is this path right, is that path right right and then what I would end up doing is I would

1:35.3

distract myself before I would come to any conclusion and I wasn't even aware of it.

1:41.2

It was like this this defense mechanism that I had in my brain, but like all of a sudden as I was going through analyzing, you know, the details of a situation, I would then either grab my phone and start scrolling on

1:54.8

social media or I would turn on the TV or just like anything to distract me

2:01.9

from actually making a decision. And then it's like this temporary

2:06.3

feeling of comfort like, oh few that's that's out of my mind I don't have to deal with

2:10.6

this anymore but obviously if you don't deal with it you remain in the same position

2:16.1

so I always say that you know no decision at all is the most surefire way to guarantee that you will remain stuck. If you're not happy

2:25.9

with where you are, making no decision and taking no action will literally guarantee that

2:31.6

you stay exactly where you are.

2:33.7

If you're not happy with that, you know, then you obviously have to do something different.
