The President-elect William Lye is planning changes in national defense.

This looks like consolidation and it looks like spending a lot of money to make Taiwan a hard target.

Is that a good way to spend money right now?

Is that significant in the defense of not just Taiwan but all of Asia.

I do think it's a worthy investment.

Of course, we've had this struggle in recent years going back a good way to try to encourage

our allies to invest in their own independent capabilities, including manufacturing and supply chains.

And so to the extent that this new initiative by the new president

is meant to accelerate a public private collaboration that we in the United States need to try to

match in some ways to counter China's comprehensive approach to using civil military fusion as its approach to developing
