Taiwan, much in the news. Most of it because of the aggression, the predation of the People's Republic of China.

But a very positive story.

The vice president of Taiwan, William Lai, on his way to Essence Young, the capital of Paraguay in South America,

a return courtesy visit by the vice president after entertaining the visit of the president-elect of Paraguay, Mr. Peña.

These two states have a great deal in common in that their free republics and at the same time are under criticism of the predators in Beijing.

To help us tell this story, the brave Mr. William Lai traveling through the U.S. on his way to Paraguay.

Because there's an election cycle underway in Taiwan. There's much to celebrate about democracy.

Mark, a very good day to you. The visit by Mr. Lai is both bold and extremely wise.

Is this popular in Taipei now? But William Lai going to Paraguay. Good evening to you.

Yeah, it is popular. Every Taiwanese, except for the opposition parties, are hoping that Taiwan can have more international visibility.

And this is one of them. And I think when President Tsaiyuan decided to ask William Lai to visit Paraguay is a great move.

Because that way, William Lai can transit the United States and can meet with some important decision makers in the United States.

Gordon, you have a question from Mark. Mark, what has been Beijing's reaction to William Lai's stopovers in the U.S.?

Or angry, of course, always. No matter whenever Taiwan gets international visibility, they get angry.

Especially those people, decision makers in the ruling party, DPP in Taiwan, they consider DPP a separist group.

Actually, really, Taiwan has nothing to do with China. So they claim that Taiwan is part of China, but it is not.
