Michael is in Iwati Prefecture, that's Hanshu, the main island of Japan.

He's been traveling and visiting with scientific men and women.

However, we're going to recover where Michael's been these last weeks since last we talked to him.

Michael, a good day, a good evening to you in Japan. We last left you in Taiwan. You had been there for several days,

interviewing and observing the scene before the inauguration of the new President William Lye.

And you were headed from Taiwan to some small islets off the coast of the mainland that were

very prominent many years ago, many decades ago in the early debates about Taiwan and mainland China and Mao.

They're not much remembered now, but you visited one of those islands. You flew from Taipei to that island. Where is it? What does it represent? And good day to you, Michael.

Good day, yeah, from Japan now.

Yeah, I just spent about another month in Taiwan.

And by the way, a lot of people think Taiwan is a runaway

prefecture of a runaway province, let's say, of China, but actually Taiwan was never,

ever, ever part of China, not for one minute.

A lot of people don't get that because of the

information war. Even so-called experts think that Taiwan used to be part of

China. It just absolutely never happened without any qualification necessary.

It's just like it nor was it part of France Taiwan was never part of France or part of China.

Now I was just over on Chinman Island. Chinman Island you could make an

argument that it was part of China but that's that's part of Taiwan now. Chinman

Island is quite small. There's actually big Chinman and little Chinman, which are connected by a bridge.

And you can, and they're both surrounded on three sides by mainly in China. So on three sides of Chinman Island,
