we have one bit of big news that hit right before we were going to record the podcast and that is a

Marvel news story. So we got to talk about this. Chris, tell us about it.

Tekawatiti is coming back for Thor 4.

This is a big deal for several reasons.

For one reasons, everyone loved Thor Ragnarok,

so they're going to be happy to have him back for

another Marvel even though they've made you know tons of interconnected movies in their

Marvel Cinematic universe they've never actually had four films focused on one character.

You know, Iron Man has had a trilogy, Captain America had a trilogy, and up until now Thor

was a trilogy, but now Thor is going to be the first of the films to get a fourth film.

And lastly, this is significant because Takawatidi was supposed to start directing the live action Akira for Warner Brothers, but once again that film has run into problems and it's now on pause indefinitely.

Originally, it was supposed to start shooting very soon. Definitely. resolved, but now Thor 4 would bump up against that scheduleized.

So they've just put a cure on hold for the time being.

And they should probably just put it on hold forever, because it doesn't seem like it's a good idea in general.
