A year ago, Michael, we were talking about this game.

It was the first ever game between the two schools where both teams were ranked.

Now both teams are just ranked.

They're not very good.

I can explain pretty easily why state's not good this year.

Why isn't Ole Miss?

Well, it's a different conversation to be had today than had it been this time last week

after getting a couple of wins.

I wanted to wait until after the game on Wednesday to have this conversation just to see

what happened.

But what stopped them from getting off to the start that the talent ceiling should have?

A lot of things.

One, it felt like Chris Beard could not figure out his rotations.

I mean, you know what D is capable of.

Comerdine was a guy that they worked really hard to get from France.

AJ Store was somebody that they expected to have to utilize a lot, but they were so inconsistent,
