We've been super, super busy doing this bunch of musical.

And our kids have probably been on screens a little bit more than we like them to be.

Sure. Um, and it's, and it was negatively affecting our five year old

Cooper's like ability to function. So we're like, listen, you got to get off the

pad today. No pad, no fun, no screens today.

I mean, 50 years from now, they might realize that like too many screens is the way to go.

Maybe, but she was losing her absolute mind.

And she was talking about how angry she was and how she would do anything to get the

screen. And we started talking about addiction, right?

Cause Sydney works with people addiction. And we're explaining how if you want something

really bad, sometimes it can be in control of you.

And it can make you do bad things because you want that thing so badly.

Yeah. And she was still screaming at us and trying to push me out of the way.

And Sydney said, look at what wanting the screen is making you feel like you would,

would you do anything to get your phone? She said, yeah.

And she said, you would even hit mommy to get your, to get your phone and Cooper looked

at her with like a tear in her eyes. She said, no, I wouldn't hit you.

And I said, I have, you know, if you, how about the, and she, she was kind of quiet.

I said, Cooper, think about it. If I said to you, if you punch me in the face,

I'll get your phone and not the syllable.

The syllable phone had not left my mouth before she punched me directly in the face.

I mean, yeah, that was finished. It was like, I'll go get your phone done out.
