First up today, President Biden is among those calling for an upgrade to the

protection the US Secret Services give Donald Trump after what appears to have

been a second attempt to kill Mr Trump in two months. The Republican presidential candidate

was playing golf on Sunday when secret service agents spotted and fired shots at a

gunman in bushes several hundred yards away. Mr. Trump was unharmed, a man was later arrested.

Before boarding a helicopter in Washington, D.C. today, President Biden spoke about the incident.

I command the Secret Service for the expert handling the situation and the

former president is protected from harm and subject to it in custody. Let me just say there is no place

for political violence in America. None, zero, never. I've always

condemned political violence and always will in America. We resolve our difference peacefully the ballot box not at the end of a gun

America suffered too many times the tragedy of an assassin's bullet

It solves nothing and just tears the country apart.
