And yes, if you want to get technical, there were a handful of games, quite a few,

ever played in August, but we're going to include August for this exercise in our September superlatives episode.

A lot of conclusions that have been drawn.

And frankly, I think a lot of conclusions are a bit

premature on whether or not teams are dead, buried, and gone or teams that are going to go on

to win the national championship. It's still very early. Teams are still very much a work in progress.

We've had injuries that have affected rankings. We've had injuries that have affected outcomes. Maybe guys get

healthy. They get better. The teams improve, what have you. Maybe teams started hot and they fall

off a cliff. So everything right now is very much up in the air. But there have been some conclusions

drawn just from my evaluation of some of these teams, watching the tape of some of these players,
