| 1:02.8 | as private. So directions were given to schools to respect a student's wish on whom to inform, |
| 1:08.9 | meaning they could withhold the information from their parents. |
| 1:12.0 | As a result, parents in California were left in the dark of a school treated their child |
| 1:16.2 | as a different gender, including using a child's preferred names and pronouns, regardless of what |
| 1:22.1 | the parents wished. And teachers were also forced to comply with the deception of the children's |
| 1:27.4 | parents. |
| 1:28.1 | And of course, we also know that teachers, counselors, and school officials were often encouraging students to question their identity. |
