So I'm so excited that you're here talking about Christina Pazahn.

She's amazing and I'm just thrilled to have you here.

So can you introduce her to those of us who might not be so familiar with her?

Sure, no problem. So Christine Nipizan was a writer in the late 14th century, early 15th century in France.

And she was a professional writer, which was kind of unheard of for women at the time. So she actually supported herself and her kids through writing.

And she wrote just over 20, 20 works, which is quite a lot at the time.

From the time when she was widowed until things got too hot in Paris,

and she kind of retreated to an abbey for a while. So yeah, she was

writing right in the middle of the hundred years more when things were crazy and friends. And,

and yes, she was she was writing for the court. It was pretty amazing. Yeah. So can you tell me

about how she became a writer? Because like you said, that's so unusual. Even I think

from men at this period to just suddenly say, oh, I'm going to be a writer, but especially for a

woman to say that and like how she kind of, how that came about for her. Yeah, sure. So,

so yeah, I think unless you were trained up in the church it was

kind of strange to say you were going to be a writer so christine was was very unusual in that she

she came over to france with her father her father was um was a doctor and an astronomer at the court

of charles pip and so her father let her learn to was a doctor and an astronomer at the court of Charles Bip.

And so her father let her learn some stuff, taught her some stuff,

even though her mother was not into that,

didn't think girls needed to know that.

But Christine loved to learn,

even though she says that she was more interested in playing at the time.
