Welcome to Grow Cook Eat Arrange, the podcast of me, Sarah Raven, and my great mate Arthur

Parkinson. And today we are going to talk about the highlights that we feel are on offer

on our summer and late summer range. So just the things that as spring progresses that we think are just absolutely fantastic,

either new or really old, salty, tried and tested favourites,

but we're going to give you the highlights of our absolute top favourites.

So I'm going to kick us off and I'm incredibly excited about two new container collections in the summer catalogue.

And the first one is a little dahliar and I normally can't bear little dahlias, because they seem too sort of top-heavy and uptight and kind of fussy for me.

They remind me of when I was a child, I used to go to Jim Carners and ride a pony and I would never win rosettes,

but everyone else would win rosettes. And they look like Shetland ponies with big rosettes on the side of

their bridle. Anyway, that's a bit of a long stretch. But there's this dahlia called Delia

Aruno. And it's absolutely amazing. It's like the most incredible velvet handkerchief in dark crimson.

And we had it growing here last year with a tried and tested, longstanding favourite of Arthur's and mine called Petunia Tidal Wave Red Valour, which I'm sure we've gone on about before.

But it's a seed-grown petunia. And it's just amazing.

The whole tidal wave series, whether there's one called Silver Magic, I think, and then

there's this other one called Red Valour and there's a purple one.

But they flower from May or June right the way through until October or November.

Incredibly low maintenance, quite drap resistant resistant and you don't need to deadhead them

a whole time.

So I couldn't more passionately recommend it because somehow the sort of dumpy, luxurious

velviteness of the dahlia is made loose and sort of beautiful and relaxed by the trailing petunia waves coming out of the side of the pot.

And it's called our magnificent Merlo pot collection.
