The hosts are also joined by former NFL player turned TV personality, Akbar Gbaja-Biamila to discuss his transition into the world of television. Akbar begins by enlightening the guys on the origin story of his full-name and, as a long-time Laker fan, discusses the significance of LeBron breaking the NBA’s all-time scoring record previously held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Akbar also shares what it was like as his playing career was ending, having to scratch and claw his way into an unpaid, local San Diego media role that would eventually blossom into the career he has carved out for himself today.
