Amen and amen. Good morning and welcome. You can be seated. Those of you online, you're

already seated. So, but we're glad that you're joining with us and you're here today.

We're continuing our verse by verse study through the Gospel of Mark. We're making progress. We

finally finished chapter one. And I don't know how long it took us, but we got through

chapter one. So today we're going to, we're going to live on the edge by faith. Take

on the first 12 verses of chapter 2 yeah oh come on ye a little

faith I'll be out here by 2 don't worry so listen here's what I want to do

for those of you that are able it it is a longer reading, but for the standing of the reading

of God's Word, if you're able, willing, fine, if not, no problem.

Where your seat is just fine, comfortable.

So you can just follow along.

We're going to start in verse one now

this is keep in mind that contiguous the narrative is you know it's flowing

there's no chapter breaks in the original manuscripts of the gospel so mark

continues where he left off, basically, verse one, by the Holy Spirit,

he writes, a few days later. When Jesus again entered Kapurnalum, the people heard that he had

come home. That was kind of home base. So many gathered, verse

two, that there was no room left, not even outside the door. And he preached the word to them.

Some men came, verse three, bringing to him a paralytic, carried by four of them.

Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus, and after digging through it, lowered the

mat the paralyzed man was lying on.

When, verse 5, Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic son, your sins are forgiven.
