A time of Lexio devena for the discerning heart.

The sixth Sunday of Easter.

As you begin, take a deep breath and exhale slowly.

For the next few moments, surrender all the cares and concerns of the stay to the Lord. Say slowly from your heart, Jesus, I trust in you. You take over.

Become aware that he is with you, looking upon you with love, wanting to be heard deep within your heart.

A reading from the Holy Gospel, according to John, chapter 14, verses 15 through 21. Jesus said to his disciples,

If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

I shall ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to be with you forever,

that spirit of truth, whom the world can never receive, since it neither

sees nor knows him, but you know him, because he is with you, he is in you.

I will not leave you orphans, I will come back to you.

In a short time the world will no longer see me, but you will see me, because I live and you will

live. On that day you will understand that I am in my father, and you and me, and I in you.

Anybody who receives my commandments and keeps them will be one who loves me, and anyone who loves me will be loved by my

father and I shall love him and show myself to him what word made this passage come alive for you?

What did you sense the Lord saying to you.

Once more, give the Lord an opportunity to speak to you. Jesus said to his disciples,
