This week I'm joined remotely of course by Heather Steele Becky Hull and author Gemma Wayne.

Jemma is the author of three novels after before, Chains of Sand and her latest novel

which came out just last week to Dare. She's also been long listed for the women's prize for

fiction and shortlisted for both the Guardians not the Booker Prize and the

Waverton Good Award. Jemma is also a journalist whose work has appeared in

The Spectator National Geographic Geographic, having to post,

Evening Standards to name a few. So welcome, Jemma.

Thank you so much for having me. So lovely to have you today. How is everybody, we are week 16 of lockdown? How's everybody getting on?

Chairman, how's your lockdown been?

It's been pretty good actually. Ups and downs gets a bit frustrating at times, a little

bit groundhog Dave, but actually it's been quite nice just

slowing down a bit and spending more time with the kids and the weather's been great

until now so that's in the news. And the book was supposed to come out earlier is

that right?

But it was delayed because of Corona?

Yes, it was meant to come out in June, and then we pushed it to July.

And I mean, although people have been reading a lot more, actually, which has been great,

I think just, we all were just wanting to talk about Corona so it may sense to

hold off a little bit to we're ready for other things.
