Our sixth story for the month of October 2015

is titled Summer at Grandma's House and is by

Howe Shingfeng and is translated by Carmen Yiling Jan. In 2002, Hal Shink Feng was awarded first prize in the new concept writing competition.

She gained her undergraduate degree from Singh Hua University's Department of Physics and her PhD from the same University in Economics and Management in 2012.

Her fiction has appeared in various publications, including Menya, science fiction world.

She has published two full-length novels, Wandering Mayarth, and returned to Sharon,

a book of cultural essays, Europe and time, and the short story

collection Star Travelers. Her fiction has appeared before an English translation in

light speed and uncanny. for an English translation in Lightspeed and Uncanny.

Our translator, Carmen Yilinyan, was born in China and currently attends UCLA.

Tense starting out as an amateur translator. Her translation work has been published by Clark's World, Lightspeed, and Galaxy's Edge.

Her writing has been published in daily science fiction.
