I'm your host, retired NYPD Sergeant Bill Cannon, the 27-year veteran of the NYPD.

So we have some new information, and the Gilgo Beach case, of course, in the last few months

has been somewhat quiet.

That does not mean that the entire task force is not working on this case diligently every single day.

And one of the things we found out today in a press conference,

which will play little snippets from, we're not going to play the whole press conference,

is that this person you see on the screen, Asian Doe,

and that's sort of a creative way to use the word John Doe,

but Asian Doe, and that this was a male,

a biological male who was Asian,

found in the Gilgo Beach area. they believe he was murdered in 2006 through blunt trauma.

And his body was not discovered a skeletonized body until 2011.

So he laid in the Gilgo Beach area for over five years. They're not sure exactly when he was killed. He was dressed in women's clothing. They believe he was also an escort. And they also believe, although they can't directly tie it, but based on where the body was found that is related to

Rex Eumann as the Gilgo Beach killer as we know him as currently you see up on the screen

there's been six indictments so far.

The Gilgo 4, Maureen Brainer Barnes, Melissa Bartellame, Megan Waterman, and Amber Costello.

And recently they added Sandra Castilla, who was murdered in 1993, scary that it goes back that far.

Brutal, brutal murder.

Overkill, Stabwise.

And she was found in Southampton.

And of course, they recently added Jessica Taylor.
