You know, if you pay attention,

one of the Bible's most consistent and compelling themes

is the idea of the suffering servant.

Time and time again, God brings redemption and healing to the nations

through the suffering of His righteous servants.

It's what He did through Joseph.

It's what He does in a young girl from today's teaching

and it's what He does ultimately in Jesus.

And it's what He intends to do in and through us.

Could it be that God wants to use our suffering to bring about good?
